Stitch in times save nines
Never
leave that till tomorrow which you can do today” ---US scientist Benjamin Franklin.--
A
little effort expend sooner to fix a small problem prevents it from becoming a
large problem requiring more effort to fix later. A little preparation can
eliminate and eradiate the need for repairs later; consistency is better than
trying to rush ahead. A timely effort will prevent more work later.
A stitch in
time saves nine is an anagram for this is regarded mincingly as incentive; The proverb in its literal sense
elaborates that holes in our clothes which may be easily mended
at first, but, if they are left unmanned, grow bigger and bigger, until they
cannot be repaired without a great deal of sewing. What is true of torn clothes
is true of boots, boxes, houses, ships, walls, bridges, in a word, of
everything that needs mending, and I may quote a striking illustration of the
truth of the proverb from my own observation
A stitch in time, the Anglo Saxon Work ethic is being calls on here.
Many English proverbs encourage immediate effort as superior to putting things
off until later ; for example one year’s seeds, one year’s weeds;
procrastination is the thief of time ‘ and the easily bird catches the worm;
what is saves nine ?the stitch in time is simply the sewing up of a small hole
or tear in a piece of material. So saving the need for more stitch at a later
date when the hole has become large clearly, the first user of this expression
was referring to save nine stitches.
The stitch in time ; notion has
been current in English for every long time and is first recorded in Thomas fuller’s Gnomologia ,
Adagies an proverbs , wide sentences and witty saying Ancient and modern Foreign an British Of course, if fuller
considered this saying to be a proverb in 1732, it was probably around for many
years before that.
Procrastination is habit of human being, such act prevents human on
every developing step which itself dispatch the message of “you can do later,
because you have in plenty of time” .so it is clear for those who are wise and
punctual of time, never lose their opportunity, because chance comes once, not
twice.
Procrastination often happens during the
study, teacher gives students homework, they do not in free time instead of it,
they engage in playing, mocking of students with their bad friends. If they
think of his negligence and say we have in plenty of time at a pinch do not do
their home work
When a man plans, he must apply that thing on the touch stone of
practices in that time which he proposed in his expectation, so here we
understood that all what is in our plate we must accomplish in its proper and
proposed time otherwise it will cause of the great mountain of troubles . One
of oblivious example of Islamic caliph once his friend came near by him and
told let us amuse our heart and feast our eyes with the beautiful scene of our
town .He told, I have a lot of work and problems, he replied soon you have
plenty of time to do, so pay your attention and fulfill your responsibility
later, he replied I am unable to do today’s work, then how I will complete two
days work.
In this world, there are many
failures who failed to put off, I do it later, after he does not get chance to
do. As students who go to school continually, but never review lessen. Say
themselves we have a lot of time to study like this he lose his cost time
useless at a pinch examination comes in full view of them, they will be unable
to cope with the situation. And unfortunately cannot prepare exactly they
should, and become so much worried and shed tears over their mistakes. Heart calls what a good if you study in time.
Our grand father used to say
never leave that till tomorrow what you can do today. What you think to do,
start from that time because if that day came, you says, tomorrow, next
tomorrow at a pinch last breath comes .Today there are many patients who are
crippled in manacle of disease, in the beginning it was very small but they
neglects thinking very small that become large and greater problem in the future.
For
instance the disease swine flu is very clear to all, in its beginning it was
very small and was neglected as small but by the passage of time the negligence
came as disastrous plague, which today also plenty of people are struggling
with rampant disease and some have lost their life. So if people were aware of
the quote “prevention is better than cure” they never had become the prey of
such a dangerous diseases so here we understood that reason of all problems is
negligence and negligence is one of worst twig of procrastination
One of fantastic example, there
was a village in which a lot kind of cultures and civilizations people stay
some of them were rich, some poor. In that village an intelligent and brilliant
man, who was famous, people comes to him to solve their problems and to ask
opinion. In that village a man was very rich and moneyed; he was owner of a lot
of servants and enormous building. Once he sends his servant to ask an opinion
with great wealth, he taught that “never leave that till tomorrow what you can
do today” he goes and explains in front of man entirely. He call his servants
and ordered to put crops in store room, refused he told, today I taught to
spend great money” a stitch in time saves nine” how I can lose it. Hunger was
gleaning in their eyes and tried and doze was wandering on their heads but they
do with force. Fortunately in that night it was raining cat and dog by which a
lot of houses flooded and crops destroyed and what not people become sad so
much. Form that day they never left that till tomorrow what they do today.
Wise man used to say never
should move word on the tongue “tomorrow” because tomorrow never came and never
will come in future, say today and now. There are many men who loosed their chance to
study only by lazy and procrastination. We will study after some years then did
not get a chance to compete in the field of education because; chance comes
once, not twice. By it they have been falling cost tear whole life. From that
time they must at all time be well prepared for all things.
